Parivrtta trikonasana benefits and contraindications-

One type of trikonasana is the parivrtta trikonasana. This posture is also called Revolved Triangular Pose. Today we will learn the Parivrtta Trikonasana Benefits and Contraindications.

This is a preparatory pose for seated forward bend and Twist. It is a middle-level standing forward bend.

This is a deep detoxifying Twist. Guys before we going to the pose we need to be very careful if we have blood pressure, migraine, or diarrhea.

Before you start parivrtta Trikonasana you should warm up yourself by doing little stretches.

I am breaking this posture into two parts. one is the foundation of how our leg should be, where should blocks be.

The second one is the Twist.

Parivrtta Trikonasana – Step by Step Instruction

1) You should be in Tadasana, your arches should be active, you should be straight and your chin should be parallel.

2) Before doing this, take two-block and put this block in front of you.

3) Your core must be engaged, ribcage in line with your pelvis, your shoulder should be down, your neck is long and your chin is parallel.

4) Take your left leg to 45 degrees and right leg just get ahead forward.

5) Your hip should be facing the front and from here flex forward from the hip joint. But remember that your back leg should active, don't lose.

6) Bend and put your right palm on a block similarly left palm on another block. Your shoulder should be relaxed.

7) Here you simply breathe in and out.

8) Now place your left hand on the block but support the right hand on your hips.

9) Raise your right hand towards the sky and your face should parallel to the ground.

10) Keep inhaling and exhaling. After some time return to the original position.

11)  repeat this posture daily 3 to 4 times.


The beginner can do this Pose for 1 minute

Intermediate can do between 1 to 2 minutes

The expert can do more than 2 minutes

Revolved Triangular pose Contraindications-

1) A person who has high blood pressure should avoid these yoga postures. 

2) Migraine patients should consult with their doctor before doing this yoga.

3) A man suffering from diarrhea should also ignore this asana.

4) Headache and insomnia people should also avoid triangular yoga.

5) Neck, back, and spinal injured patients will take a distance from this posture.

6) If you feel uncomfortable during the pose then leave it.

7) A person who has breathing problems should avoid this asana.

8) Cervical spondylosis patients should ignore this yoga from their practice.
